| What's Xanga?OMG, i haven't been to Xanga in forever and completely forgot where the link is to type out a new blog. Actually, I didn't forget. The layout and everything else in between looks completely foreign to me. Wow...
Who reads this stuff anyway? I'm on Facebook all the time like most of the world.

| Endless Planning for Vacation in Peru...I should start by saying that I first began planning a trip to Ecuador. I want to visit the Galapagos Islands along with Quito and Guayaquil. But then my brother wanted to go to the Amazon Jungles, which I would absolutely be all for it but I can't go to the jungles and come back looking like crap when I'm supposed to be a maid of honor that weekend.
So we settled on Peru instead - and thus, more days of research and planning. I hope this is all worth it.
I started out thinking that I should just purchase a travel plan with an airline (Virgin Atlantic, then I realized there are 2 other companies that offer the exact itinerary for the same price) - no worries about roundtrip flight, transfers to hotel, hotel stays, flight to another city, etc. But considering I chose the cheaper vacation so I can plan my own trip extension to Machu Picchu, what the heck, I decided to just do the whole thing myself. And I think it's turning out to be cheaper all together!!! I'm all for saving money.
There are hostels everyone that costs as cheap as $20 for double per night. Travel guides say that you can live on $25/day if you're really frugal. I don't know how.
Here's my tentative itinerary (I got a week vacation but I'm gonna see if I can get 2 more days):
Day 1 - overnight flight to Lima
Day 2 - 4 - tour around the city of Lima, museums and ruins
Day 5 - fly to Cuzco, tour around the city
Day 6 - whitewater rafting in Urubamba River or horseback riding somewhere
Day 7 - tour Chincero, Ollantaytambo, overnight in Sacred Valley
Day 8 - on to Machu Picchu via backpacker train and stay overnight there
Day 9 - tour Machu Picchu more, then go back to Cuzco on the Vistadome train
Day 10 - tour Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Salapunku, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and Pisac
Day 11 - go home
Total approximate costs on my own: $1500 Total cost with Virgin Atlantic: $2100+
Not bad huh? Anyone wanna join us?? Let me know!! The dates are 4/18 - 4/29 (well, the last 2 dates are tentative for now - I need to get more vacation days).

| New Year = New ToysI'm finally IN!!! After 8 years of being a Sprint customer, I decided to get Verizon 2 days after my last 2-year contract was over. The decision to change was largely due to the fact that I get employee discount. So I guess all employee discounts are the same? 20% off the bill (it's really only 19%), no activation fee, and discount off the phones. Altho I heard someone got 25% off? In anycase, I replaced , which I originally got for my parents a million years ago when it first came out and it was considered HOT!!! I had been it using for over a year (unbelieveable) since I lost on the express bus11 months after getting it. That Samsung was ancient. No one could text me and I was too cheap to get another phone. That battery doesn't even last a day now. A couple of hours only for a "fully charged" battery. Annoyed the heck outta me so I had to carry the charger with me. And the day I took that phone over to transfer my old numbers to the new one, the battery died during the process. argh...so i have to go back to Verizon yet again. Anyway, now I have with functions that I don't know how to use or don't use or accidentally used and hoping that I won't get charged for it. hahhahaha...I've read the freakin' manual twice over already! But you can FINALLY send me text messages and I will receive them!!! I hope this is a better cell phone story of mine to read about. :) And someone PLEASE explain why I can't send pictures via MMS. Is there something I need to set up first?

| Jersey cops are MORONS!!So I'm driving along a busy local street earlier tonight and I see this car wanting to make a turn onto the road. I slowed down a bit but it didn't go so I just drove on ahead. Looking on my rearview mirror, I realized it was a cop. In my mind, I'm thinking - oh great. But I didn't do anything wrong and so I didn't bother thinking twice about it.
Once I turned at the corner, the cop turns on his lights and siren so I pulled over thinking that he'd pass me. But no, he pulled over next to my car so I rolled down my window.
"Are you in a hurry to go somewhere?", the big fat cop asked.
"No." And I'm thinking, you're freakin' ridiculous. You're pulling me over because you think I didn't let you go? Because I had the right of way? Because you think you're a god on the road so I have to let you go first? Because I was speeding (which I wasn't)? Because I broke some traffic law (again, I didn't)?
"You sped up," he said.
"I slowed down to let you go but you didn't so I went ahead."
He then shakes his head at me some more and I'm looking at him like, ok, now what? A short moment of silence pass by. Are you going to give me a ticket? But he can't give me a ticket cuz I didn't do anything wrong. There was nothing substantial for him to do that. He's just wasting my time and he had nothing better to do than to feel offended that I didn't let him go. Idiot.
So I said, "Sorry." and I completely didn't mean it at all. And I regret even saying it in the first place.
Jersey cops, perhaps a lot of cops in this country, do this. They pull people over not because we've violated some traffic regulation but because they've been offended, as if they're above the law, and we've wronged them in some way. They just take it personally.
I was driving to work another early rainy morning, crossing a big street (it was my green) and this cop nearly hits me at the intersection going at high speed. Neither sirens nor lights were on. I skidded to a screeching halt and thought I'd get hit on my side.
I HATE COPS!!!! And I just wanna say....
(FYI....I don't know who this kid this and I would NEVER teach my kid to say this.)
