| OMG, i haven't been to Xanga in forever and completely forgot where the link is to type out a new blog. Actually, I didn't forget. The layout and everything else in between looks completely foreign to me. Wow...
Who reads this stuff anyway? I'm on Facebook all the time like most of the world.

| I should start by saying that I first began planning a trip to Ecuador. I want to visit the Galapagos Islands along with Quito and Guayaquil. But then my brother wanted to go to the Amazon Jungles, which I would absolutely be all for it but I can't go to the jungles and come back looking like crap when I'm supposed to be a maid of honor that weekend.
So we settled on Peru instead - and thus, more days of research and planning. I hope this is all worth it.
I started out thinking that I should just purchase a travel plan with an airline (Virgin Atlantic, then I realized there are 2 other companies that offer the exact itinerary for the same price) - no worries about roundtrip flight, transfers to hotel, hotel stays, flight to another city, etc. But considering I chose the cheaper vacation so I can plan my own trip extension to Machu Picchu, what the heck, I decided to just do the whole thing myself. And I think it's turning out to be cheaper all together!!! I'm all for saving money.
There are hostels everyone that costs as cheap as $20 for double per night. Travel guides say that you can live on $25/day if you're really frugal. I don't know how.
Here's my tentative itinerary (I got a week vacation but I'm gonna see if I can get 2 more days):
Day 1 - overnight flight to Lima
Day 2 - 4 - tour around the city of Lima, museums and ruins
Day 5 - fly to Cuzco, tour around the city
Day 6 - whitewater rafting in Urubamba River or horseback riding somewhere
Day 7 - tour Chincero, Ollantaytambo, overnight in Sacred Valley
Day 8 - on to Machu Picchu via backpacker train and stay overnight there
Day 9 - tour Machu Picchu more, then go back to Cuzco on the Vistadome train
Day 10 - tour Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Salapunku, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and Pisac
Day 11 - go home
Total approximate costs on my own: $1500 Total cost with Virgin Atlantic: $2100+
Not bad huh? Anyone wanna join us?? Let me know!! The dates are 4/18 - 4/29 (well, the last 2 dates are tentative for now - I need to get more vacation days).

| I'm finally IN!!! After 8 years of being a Sprint customer, I decided to get Verizon 2 days after my last 2-year contract was over. The decision to change was largely due to the fact that I get employee discount. So I guess all employee discounts are the same? 20% off the bill (it's really only 19%), no activation fee, and discount off the phones. Altho I heard someone got 25% off? In anycase, I replaced , which I originally got for my parents a million years ago when it first came out and it was considered HOT!!! I had been it using for over a year (unbelieveable) since I lost on the express bus11 months after getting it. That Samsung was ancient. No one could text me and I was too cheap to get another phone. That battery doesn't even last a day now. A couple of hours only for a "fully charged" battery. Annoyed the heck outta me so I had to carry the charger with me. And the day I took that phone over to transfer my old numbers to the new one, the battery died during the process. argh...so i have to go back to Verizon yet again. Anyway, now I have with functions that I don't know how to use or don't use or accidentally used and hoping that I won't get charged for it. hahhahaha...I've read the freakin' manual twice over already! But you can FINALLY send me text messages and I will receive them!!! I hope this is a better cell phone story of mine to read about. :) And someone PLEASE explain why I can't send pictures via MMS. Is there something I need to set up first?
